Thandiwe Banda's journey as an artist began at a young age, doodling on the margins of her school notebooks in Blantyre. Today, she is one of VAAM's most celebrated mixed media artists, known for her bold use of color and texture.
"Art for me is a way of processing the world," says Thandiwe. "Every piece I create is a conversation with my heritage, my identity, and my dreams."
Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across Malawi and has found homes in collections across the country. We are proud to have her as part of the VAAM community.
